MSL wise, given the success of the Astros, and the...not quite success of the Dodgers, is the latter still your main team, or have the Astros taken over? I originally bumped you from them because of a GM that didn't pan out, but you took the roster anyway, so eh. I may have a Dodger fan join, but I can't be sure he's gonna stick.

Yeah, it's totally fine by me if another Dodger fan wants L.A. Houston's success doesn't change that I still have a soft spot for Thedog and the few studs on the roster, but I suspect my hard drive is failing and I'll have to submit manual changes going forward, so I don't mind limiting to 1 team for now.

Jesus, well if he doesn't play, which of the two would you want to hang on to? LA because of Vincent and friends? Leo (or I) could easily take over the Astros in that case, and I or this new guy could take over LA, so it really would be your choice.

If there's no taker for L.A., then I prefer to hold on to L.A. and you or Leo could auto the Astros.
I'm sure I asked before, but best areas of Pittsburgh to live? In city and/or outside of city are fine. Don't want to get mugged, robbed, etc.

funny you say that, I set an online dating profile in Pittsburgh and the results have been poor. But online dating in general doesn't work well for me. You have an idea of what a better place would be? Something more transient?

Do you live the closest to San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose Airport? I assume there is no closer airport to you than one of those three, correct? How long have you lived there? One thing I look at is the ease at which you could fly back there directly and cheaply. So for instance, from Pittsburgh you can fly extremely inexpensively to quite a few cities but none within the Bay Area (LAX though). Sounds like places like San Diego, Vegas, Phoenix, and Houston are out because they would be too hot, correct? I would assume the same for any Florida cities or New Orleans or Atlanta or Nashville.

Have you been to Denver? Either way, thoughts on Denver?

Oakland. There is one in my town, but it's very regional. In my town, since 1999. In the Bay Area, all 36 years. I'm curious why you mention there and back. I guess I would have to check a place out first, but my plan is to move and leave. I hate this place, its politics, its people, its culture. Vegas, maybe. Dad has interest there. San Diego's too expensive to live. Phoenix, I think same. Houston I forget why I dropped it.

New Orleans culture does not appeal. Same with Atlanta. Nashville likely too.

Denver - too expensive, too liberal, wrong culture (I'm not outdoorsy).

Maybe I'm the problem and there is no place for me...
Can I coerce you back into MSL yet?

yeah, it's been unused getting my money's worth out of the software.

You better be playing GML.

Your Mets are doing well and still open! and depending on your timing (earlier is better) the Yankees may even open up. But if they open after GML, I myself probably take em.

Yeah i'm going to do my best to play the whole GML season as opposed to my late sub last year. We'll see how things shake out with MSL afterward

well, so long as I bug you for OTC pulls and you play GML, as Meatloaf once said, 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Hammer's got the Yanks now, but is only keeping the seat warm. If life pans out favorably after GML, I'm taking them back. That said, there's a ton of open teams now, sadly.

Having taken on a lesser math only role with MSL, and basically finally figuring out all the math now, my time spent as league runner is much less that I think in...7 months I can play again.
Why do you hate Phil Collins for turning Genesis to mainstream pop when Peter Gabriel's own solo career found success in, you know, mainstream pop?

I guess I should learn my own software...I moved it all to one thread.

I'm okay to be on the otherside of Bateman - I disagree with his assessment.

To be fair, Gabriel's pop wasn't the same as Collins. In modern terms, Collins was like straight ahead pop, while Gabriel was more like adult contemporary in a way? Or Collins was almost bublegum.

But, if Collins had left to do his thing (instead of or in addition), we wouldn't hate him. If Gabriel had made the change, we'd hate him. If the band wanted to make a full change, not quite unlike Chicago (different circumstances) we'd hate them all. It's one thing to change the band in your image, it's another to leave and do your own thing letting the band control its own path, in theory.

Although I've read within the last year that the band all kind of wanted to go down that path, so, eh.

Adult contemporary to me is soft rock. Phil is soft rock, I don't consider him in the bubblegum pop class as Britney and Kelly Clarkson, but I suppose you could argue the difference is just a generation gap.

Phil's 90s stuff was definitely soft rock no doubt. But his 80's stuff, and Genesis' 80's stuff was pretty much straight ahead pop (not In The Air Tonight though, but that was...81? So time changes). The funny thing is, I like more than a few songs of Phil's 80's solo work. Air, Two Hearts, Missed Again, Easy Lover are all songs I love.

I'd say part his style part generation gap, but now I want to dive into it some more.
Hey, welcome! I saw you viewed OM's profile, so I can only assume you're here for MSL. We should have it up and running again very shortly, maybe by end of the weekend.

Hey thanks! Good to hear. It would be a shame for something that's been around for so long to go kaput.

And now I know who you are! I completely lost my shit when Leo told me. Wow!

So I never knew, are you a Rangers fan, or did you just happen to run them?

Haha! Yeah, going for the 'under the radar' approach.
I was a big Rangers fan for about 15 years, including the entire decade of the terrible 2000's. Not so much anymore but I thought getting back into the OOTP game again might be fun.
I’m never sure what to do with my eyes when I’m at the dentist. Do I close them? Do I stare at his face? Do I look at the ceiling? What’s the proper etiquette here?
I messaged both of them yesterday. One said he’d look at it today.

I got a new computer at work last week and the site works now. Not sure if IT will block it at some point again after looking at search history or something.
Can you bug the two (Yorkers and I forget the other)? I'd like to get them in ASAP.

Also, are you still unable to access the site from work?
Tried to send you PM about current pick. Box may be full. Please clear and PM if you're interested. Thanks dude.
